This weeks Wednesday Inspiration came to me easy. When I grow up, I want to have style like Schuyler Samperton. Schuyler was featured in the October edition of House Beautiful and my design eyes are forever changed. I LOVE her style!! Her work seems to personify exactly what I want to achieve in my design work. Every room is welcoming and so uniquely charming!
Every room has a number of disparate fabrics strategically strung around the room. It’s like that hairdo that looks effortless but really takes hours to achieve. All of her creations appear to be spontaneous combustion that just happen to form a perfect harmony.
Her use of bold colors IS absolutely inspiring!!
Along with her knack for making her design appear to be entirely vintage.
She has an uncanny ability to mix different styles and create a balance among all.
I absolutely adore this breakfast nook. All of the different patterns with the farm table and white walls remind me of my Grandma’s farm-house when I was a little girl. Yet, I would TOTALLY do this exact nook today!
Staying on the same vein, she calls the above dining room “Granny Chic”. Perfect description!
This bead-board room with a simple floral coverlet and tiny side table is so charming!
And this gallery wall of artwork framed in by fuchsia panels and striped chairs still looks vintage!
I normally despise anything stained, but this room with this wallpaper creates such a comfy pleasant atmosphere. But right when you start to wonder how old this design is, you see the turquoise chairs. They instantly add youth and excitement to the whole room.
She is NOT afraid of bold color! Here, is turquoise De Gourney wallpaper with mustard colored dining chairs! Who woulda thunk!!
I hope you enjoyed my Wednesday “Why” inspiration! What is inspiring you today?
