So, we’re less than 3 weeks away from the big day now. I feel the crunch at this point! Still smiling and having fun though, so that’s a good sign! If you need to be caught up on this saga start here. And here you can find “Nuptial News #1 Now you’re up to speed!
This post will cover the DRESS, shoes and hairdo! I’d love your opinion!
The Dress
So, we’re trying to be low-key and considering the venue and our vision for this ceremony, I’m thinking the best option for me is a short dress. But if I were going big…
This dress screams “class” to me! I just LOVE it! Absolutely timeless! This could’ve been a bride from the 60’s. However, not suited for this occasion. No worries! I have 3 teen girls! We’ll get it done!
I am going with a short dress, but here’s a cool option! I don’t love the lace top, but the idea is neat!
Not even kidding, this is where I was heading. But my girls nixed the idea. So, moving on!
I love the style here. Again, the one on the right could’ve come from the 60’s!
I do love this style! However, I have unnaturally muscular calves and I CANNOT wear dresses that fall just below the knee. Eek!! It just doesn’t work.
I also really love these. Simple with subtle embellishments.
So, which is your favorite? What would you choose?
The Shoes
I do love a touch of bling and what better way to add just a hint than in the bride’s shoes!?
I love the satin ribbon detail on this pair.
Oh my goodness! Is the little girl inside you just dying to get these on her little feet and parade around in front of a mirror for hours!?
Or I could “Go Big Or Go Home” with this choice…
Glitter AND red souls! Oh Christian Louboutin! B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.
These are stunning and so “Cinderella” AND “something blue”!
I also love the idea of adding color in the bridal shoes! These blush options are still subtle yet unique!
How sweet and feminine are these Betsy Johnson floral pumps!?! I love that small floral patterns are coming back now! My “Laura Ashley” days are rising up again!
OR… Go Brighter! Which is generally the road I travel…
These green pumps make a statement for sure! What a gorgeous color! I always love green!
But when the rubber meets the road…
How could I deny my first love!?! I’m still talking about shoes here, as I don’t think Jeff gives a rip what’s on my feet! Bahahahaha!
Seriously though! I can feel my heart go pitter-patter! Again, about the shoes.
The Hair
Again, keeping my focus and remaining chill here, I don’t want to spend a ton of time on hair do’s and nails etc. Just enough to get it right.
This style reminds me of my first go. A timeless choice, but perhaps a little more formal than the look I’m going for this time.
I love this look! Braided down into a sort-of side pony tail. Still may be slightly more formal than I’m wanting.
This one is pretty! The braid seems to dress it down just enough. Plus, it would be up off of my neck! I HATE feeling hot with all this hair on my neck!
This one seems even more perfect! Almost looks like a happy accident doesn’t it? I mean, something that you just threw up and it just happened to work out? This might be the one for me. What do you think?
Which dress, shoes and hair-do would you choose? Help me determine how to pull it all together as I make the ultimate connection with the love of my life!
Happy Monday!
