We all agree that first impressions are extremely important. First impressions truly lay the foundation for who you are! Are you extraverted or introverted? Are you an “open book” or do you take time to warm up to others? Are you fearless and proud of your style or are you more subdued?
The Front Door
I love front doors and entry-ways! One of my first posts was on “Curb-Appeal”. This area is so important and yet so often neglected. Obviously the first thing people see when they come to your home is the front. What do you want people to feel when they are walking up to your door? Warm and invited? Excited and happy? Stay away? LOL.
The front door is the first expression on your home of who you are. This one totally reminds me of my friend, Angie. Every time I visit her home I think I need to completely change my style to be more classy. She uses more muted colors and a sprinkling of fabulous antiques and they are meticulously combined to create a PERFECT environment!
Color
Of course the first component I notice is the color.
And I HAD to start here! I wish I had the courage to have a bright pink door! Maybe someday…
This beautiful Robin’s Egg Blue door with brass accessories is so elegant and yet quite simple.
I LOVE this red door! I do feel this is the color for me and my personality. I want it to portray cheer and fun!
This sort of Teal Color is gorgeous and unique as well! Could you be brave and bold enough for a color such as this?
Transom Lights
The windows above the door is a great place to subtly add style and charm.
Although, I’m not big on stained anything, really, this transom design in white is really pretty with the stained double doors. Don’t you think?
Here is a unique transom light. So beautiful and eye-catching with the arched molding!
The transom light is relatively simple in this design, however, combined with the side lights, it is amazing!
Glass Front
This door is so charming, with the double hung shades. Also, a great way to have the best of both worlds, glass with privacy when needed.
Yellow seems to be so rare and yet so happy! These double doors with this glass design, what can be said? Gorgeous!
I love the arch in these double doors! The faux finish is stunning as well.
The Jenny-Mike Door
For Monumental Monday I am so excited to be able to share with you my front door design! No paint yet, but still here it is! I cannot wait for it to be installed! These pics DO NOT do it justice! It’s an 8ft. door.
It will be painted. What color do you think it should be?
Here is a close-up of the glass. I’m thrilled with the way it turned out!
What do you think? Help me with the color selection!
I hope you have a Monumental Monday!
