A Wonderland Bakery
Because, during the Holidays my kitchen tends to operate more as a bakery than a kitchen! The kitchen always ends up being the heartbeat of the home and this is why I think it’s important to add a little Christmas cheer here!
The red lanterns and green foliage in the window treatment are pretty much the only permanent colors in the room. With this base, I can add just about any color scheme I want! And what’s better than red and green this time of year!?
A fun sparkly garland, with oversized glittery ornaments adorn the lanterns. The three elves hanging from the lanterns and the sconce are a fun and unexpected addition that bring in a feeling of mischief.
Another oversized “baking” Santa resides on my island to oversee all of the culinary goodness!
Through the years I’ve collected several holiday dishes. Some more whimsical than others. These I picked up from World Market years and years ago. I still love them so much!
The sit-abouts include pieces from my gingerbread house, nutcracker, snow globe, and Christmas cookbook collections.
One of our Tamplin Family Traditions is to stock up on Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes. The only time of the year these little yummies are welcome!
Behind the glass door that flank the stove are also full of Christmas goodness! Some of these fun things I’ve actually had for two decades. Some are gifts I’ve received from friends through the years, but all of it brings cheer to my soul!

One more baking Santa stands guard on the bar to inspire a culinary masterpiece!
I do hope you’ve found some more inspiration for your Christmas Kitchen in Part 2 of my Home Tour! It’s all about spreading the Joy of the season!
Again, I want to give credit to Fidelis Studio for all of their amazing help! Not only are they amazing photographers but so much more!
Merry Christmas!
