Continuing down our psychological road of color, it seems odd to say that white is a color, but it IS! White conjures up feeling of purity. It’s clean, sterile, and makes a space feel more spacious.
A Bride’s dress is a perfect example of how we feel about white. Pure and lovely. From generation to generation for ages we’ve passed on this tradition of wearing white to symbolize purity on a wedding day.
I don’t often like to design a space in all white, but this one by Stylizimo, would be an exception to my rule! It is stunning and unmistakably interesting. I love the subtle hint of more color within the painting.
A great place for white is the laundry room! What better place for a sterile feel! Right?
Ok, maybe a kitchen is another great place for cleanliness and sterility! I did design this one. See the full reveal here!
How bout the bathroom? This bathroom is white from the floor to the ceiling! I added touches of color in the knobs, vanity stool and the window treatment. If you missed this reveal, check it out here!
So, as you can, see even I (who LOVES and NEEDS much color) will use white for certain strategic spaces. What about you? What do you think of white? Do you use it a lot or minimally?
I hope you’re having a fabulous Hump-Day!
