Jenny & Jeff Round 2 is what the hashtag stands for
I feel I have blogged about my upcoming nuptials to Jeffrey Tamplin for a while now and I don’t want to over-extend the topic. However, I DO need to share our wedding experience with my online community as it was such a blessing and we did learn a thing or two about how to plan a wedding… This being our second time and all!
Begin your day with a Mimosa Party for you and your guests! Remember to include only the finest plastic champagne glasses for your special day! And make sure the ladies know that no make-up is the dress-code for this “yucking-it-up”, “planned-the-day-before” party!
Make sure your girls grow up developing hair and makeup skills that surpass anything you are capable of!
Make sure you raise your son to charm an entire crowd!
Wait to plan your wedding until your kids are teenagers! THEY MAKE EVERYTHING SO MUCH FUN!
And the experience is that much sweeter when the union is not only between you and your spouse but also your off-spring.
I am so so proud of my life’s work! They are all 4 so talented and endearing in so many ways! But mostly I love the way they love each other!
My Dad with the 6 of us
Don’t take it all so seriously! The more laid back the photo sessions, the better!
Have a BLAST scouring Pinterest for Wedding ideas and put your own personal touches on them!
Make sure all of your favorite and most valuable loved ones are present and accounted for! The ones that have walked through hell and back with you! The ones who have shown their unconditional love and support for you through thick and thin! Yep, those are the ones!
Pray AND laugh through the ceremony! Seriously, make sure the one you choose to officiate knows you both! Knows your story and can articulate it well! Mike Nugent went above and beyond! I’m so thankful!
Make sure the kiss is well documented so that when you have your first post-wedding disagreement you can reflect on that tenderest of tender moments!
Toast, Toast, Toast! My love-language is DEFINITELY words of affirmation so this was one of my favorite parts! Such sweet, loving, affirming words were spoken to us that night!
Don’t just have a “first dance”! Have a “First Dance-Off”! We Tamplins do nothing if we don’t compete. It’s the perfect way to show the world (as if they didn’t already know after 22 years) our “Couples Style”. BTW… I WON
Write it all down. Talk about it often. Remember all the feelings that you felt and cherish them! Because, in spite of all the planning and preparation and stress (even when you swear there will be none) in a flash it is just that… A memory!
I love you, Jeffrey Tamplin! I always will! Let’s do this thing! JJR2!
Happy Belated Family Friday to you all! And a HUGE THANK YOU to Fidelis Studio for being so awesome!
