When thinking of wicker, generally outdoor furniture is what comes to mind for me. Outdoor chairs, lounges and coffee tables…not the cutest thing in the world for sure. But, these days wicker is used in so many ways around the household! From baskets, to lighting to furniture, you can use wicker in so many cute and creative ways!

I love the wicker chair here. The pattern is different from typical wicker furniture and it’s so fun to mix and match different textures in living spaces!

But, what makes wicker even better you ask?  And you know my answer, right?  COLOR!!  Find an old wicker headboard and spray paint that baby! And Voila

Hanging wicker chairs like this one don’t have to just be used outside! I took a wicker chair like this one and designed my daughter’s room fully around it so she could have a great place to sit and hang out in her room. Check it out here!

If you don’t want to have any permanent wicker fixtures in your house such as lighting or furniture, small accessories such as these pitchers are a cute and fun way to bring wicker into your home.

Lastly, if you want to add your own personal touch to your wicker accessories, try painting them in your favorite color like the ones above. This would be a great way to pull a color into any room!

So, what are your thought on wicker?  How do you incorporate it into your spaces?

Happy Whimsy Wednesday!
