So, it could be said that I have a color obsession. Some people just have a favorite color. My love for pink is understated by saying it’s my “favorite color”. Truthfully, I’d say my favorite color is red. I’m always drawn to red from a design perspective. But pink!! Pink actually changes my perspective on life! LOL
You may have gathered from my “opt-in” box at the end of each post or from my pin board “PINK!!” (which is dedicated to all things pink) that I really love the color pink.
I’d say I was born with this obsession. I don’t recall a time that I didn’t love pink and feel chemically altered in its presence. I’m easy. No drugs needed.
Some might think it’s a “girl” thing. But I have 3 girls of my own and while they all went through pink stages as little girls, only one has retained a love for pink as much as I have.
Color is definitely back! Which, for me, it never really went anywhere! Pink is being used in some crazy fabulous ways!
I only need these pics to make me happy!
Currently designers are using pink in a very classy manner. Often, it is called “Blush”. I love this subtle shade of pink.
A little goes a long way. And it is so gorgeous and classy!
I truly love these pieces of furniture painted blush with a touch of gold. Stunning!
While blush is a classy variation of pink, homeowners aren’t stopping there! Brighter, crazier pinks pack a wallop!
In my “wallpaper” post I discussed the new variations of old classics in updated fun colors. Two great examples are this pink toile and this fabulous chinoiserie paper!
And maybe you will recall from my “Gameroom” post, that I am fully intending on lacquered hot pink walls myself!
I hope this makes your Friday a little more cheerful and … stimulating perhaps??
What is your color obsession? I’d love to hear!
