These sunny days and the thought of summer has me dreaming of islands. But, Hawaii and other dreamy places will have to wait because today I’m focused on another kind of island- Kitchen islands! I found some fun inspiration for different ways you can get creative with kitchen islands and I hope you enjoy!

Wowza. This one is incredible! How incredible it would be to have a kitchen island this size in your kitchen that could double as a breakfast table.

I think this is a great idea that allows a smaller space to still have an island. The extended countertop is awesome for adding a small breakfast bar!

Laughlin Homes and Restoration

Incredible kitchen from Laughlin Homes and Restoration! I love the repurposing of an old apothecary cabinet to be used as a kitchen island. Such a creative way to use antique or older furniture for a new use!

I also think this square kitchen island is wonderful. Half of it is used as a workspace while the other half provides so much seating for family and friends around the kitchen!

Happy Whimsy Wednesday!
