Fun Fact about me: I LOVE TO ORGANIZE! Like maybe too much! I used to limit myself to organizing one are per day. Otherwise, I would get lost in the details all day. I’m talking about when I was in the 3rd grade! Does that make me a nerd? Oh well.
It’s not rocket science, obviously, and it’s not life changing. But somehow when our belongings have a home, life becomes a little more manageable. If you can just open a cabinet and easily view your accessories (rather than dig through a pile of necklaces and earrings) it’s one less thing to slow you down in the morning right? And theoretically, this little bit of order will aid in a thriving familial environment. So let’s take a look!
In the building of this house, we have downsized and I’m finding myself needing to rethink storage in different areas of our home.
Although, I’m not really a BIG jewelry collector, I am a girl, so I do need a home for this stuff!
In the master bathroom, I have one wall lined in mirrored cabinets… They turned out so great! It makes the not so huge bathroom seem twice as large and bright!
Inside these built-ins (along with our towels) I intended on storing jewelry…
I also need a spot for perfume…
Of course, The Container Store has the solution! Isn’t the container store often the answer to all issues? I spent my last birthday in a Container Store… By choice… Another true story!
These command hooks, are at Target, hardware stores, or Amazon. They adhere to the wall and can be removed without damaging the wall or the cabinet.
I love my finished jewelry cabinet!
I used the command hooks to hang long necklaces in the back of the cabinet. As you can see, I have lots of extra space to add to my necklaces now that it’s all de-cluttered! Yay!
The folding jewelry Screen holds an unbelievable amount of earrings, plus more necklace storage!
I found a great large gold tray to store my perfume on. And a small gold tray to hold items that I ware on a regular basis.
What do you think? Isn’t it a fun little area right behind the mirrors!? Do any of you use these acrylic jewelry storage components? How do you store your fun collections? I’d love to hear!
