We were so busy over the holidays that I really didn’t get a chance to ponder my 2016 resolutions until now! That’s ok for me because my Birthday is at the end of February and for me it’s a more perfect time to start a year fresh! And here’s what has been heavy on my mind… Last year (2015) was a time of mourning for sure. We also were given brief opportunities to come up for air and celebrate (i.e. my wedding to my second husband, who looks a hella lot like the first! Haha!) But for the most part we were down in the trenches of grief. While in Hawaii, it really dawned on me how special it is to come out of that time and into “a time to dance”.
So, my type A personality likes to wrap things up in neat little packages and call that “closure”. I’m officially wrapping up this past year of mourning into a little (or big) black box and ceremoniously “kicking it to the curb”. I’m done with that nonsense.
2016 - The Party Year
In 2016 my biggest resolution is to party like its 1999! This will hereby now and forever be known as “The Party Year”!! Lord willing, of course. I will be making it a point to plan and follow through with a slew of special bashes this year! Some for family. Some for friends. Old friends and new friends! Some for neighbors. Some for only me. Lots of clinking of glasses to come! And the best part is I hope to document it all (or most of it) right here for you to follow along and party with me!
There! I said it! So, party on! And now, what are your 2016 resolutions?
Happy Family Friday!
